Huge Orange Murano Glass Pendant

I made this necklace using a huge 40mm Orange fire Murano glass focal bead. I used craft wire which is very soft and pliable to make it into a pendant then added it to the lovely goldtone chain. This is the first piece I have done in a while. I was so busy over the holidays I just did not have time to create. Please share any new pieces you have done.

My Bead Pen

Purple Bead Pen

I make my own jewelry, but am fairly new to beading. I use more traditional settings, with gemstones. I really find it very difficult to bead with those little seed beads, but I found a cool product, that uses larger beads. This is a pen, that you add beads to the barrel of the pen, to design a cool designer pen. It comes in different colors, and I chose purple. I will show you the finished product once the beads arrive, and I assemble it. You can get one of these at art beads. They would make an awesome gift for anyone on your list.

Are Americans really that ill?

Americans take some form of medication every single day. I think this is an awful high amount. Their questions are Americans really that ill, that we need to consume so much medication. Where other countries do not consume this much medication? What do you think? do we consume too much medication? Is it because we really need it, or we just do as the doctors say? Is the pharmaceutical companies, just pushing their drugs on us, and the doctors go along for monetary benefit? Do other countries have access to as much medication, and choose not to take it?

I believe it's all about the money the pharmaceutical companies make, they are not interested in curing disease, but rather maintaining it, insuring life-long profits.
Doctors don't get actual cash rewards for pushing pharmaceuticals but they do get benefits, like a week in the Caribbean with their family. Still a reward for pushing more drugs.

I often wonder if anyone reads the warning labels that accompany the drugs, I don't think so. Otherwise how could they allow these toxic chemicals in their bodies.
I don't take any pharmaceuticals, for me, I'd go to a doctor for a proper diagnosis and research what herbs to use for that ailment. So far, every herb I’ve used has worked faster, better and for longer duration than any drug ever prescribed to me. Since most drugs come from plants and herbs, I think, why not go to the source and eliminate the harmful chemicals.

It's worked wonder for me and I'll never take another pharmaceutical if I can help it.

Studying online is HUGE right now, and it is so popular because it's convenient and more easily accessible for everyone. And with the advancement of technology and the internet, most of the coursework can now be done conveniently online.

The USC Rossier School of Education’s MAT@USC offers current educators and aspiring teachers the prestige of earning a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from an elite research university with the convenience and flexibility of studying online.

My husband saw the commercial for this game, and said I need to get that for Sofee. Sofee is our son, and I have already bought enough games, so I said no. Well he sulked, and he looked at it online, and he pouted, and I finally gave in. This game better be worth the 50 bucks I had to fork over for it. Is this game on your wish list, this year?

James Patterson Books

I love James Patterson Books. This author has been around for a long time, and I have viewed some of his movies such as Kiss the Girls. However, I had never read any of his books, until a friend of mine gave me some to read. They are easy to read, always exciting, and have not read one I don't like yet. Check him out if you are looking for something new to read.

Nothing is more frustrating than being one missing part away from finishing a car repair. If you looking for a Parts Gorilla shop then Car Parts Warehouse is the right place to visit. Because one of my friend's car was got crashed in an accident. The car was getting mostly damage. Car body changed his car parts in this car parts shop, and it has got new look and has became super. Good quality car parts are available in this car parts shop.

So if you have any idea to change your car parts then this is the right place to change it. This allows you to purchase for 24 hours which make you to buy the car parts at any time.

If there were no men!

This is not to hurt anybody out here. It is just a thought I wanted to share and get your opinions on.

Women tend to fight over money, men, and looks.

In the absence of men, they wouldn't be spending half as much on clothes, and cosmetics. So they would need less money to be happy. Happy individuals make others happy.

Most of the time women fight over men as if they are bidding for them in some auction! (Seriously - women are too smart to show something like that is going on - so they pretend as if they are not interested when they really are and they take pleasure in undermining the efforts of their dear friend/rival).

More often than not, they lose interest in their possession once there is no competition (This is only an observation based on myself and people I came across - not meant to offend anybody who knows what love is all about).

So kill the bait, and what do we have, a confused bunch of women, who don't know what to fight over!

Therefore, I conclude that Eve may have brought Adam to Earth, but Adam ensured/ensures that she/they remains sinful enough not to go back to heaven.

Since I was little, I've always been creative. Always knew what looked best. Never really jumped into scrapbooking, it's ridiculously expensive, but always knew how to.

My best friends birthday was in the beginning of august. And another close friend, as well. I made them both personalized birthday cards, I wish I would have taken a picture of one of them. Pretty paper, with a white mat and a black frame, with a big ornate monogram in the middle. They're really pretty, and really easy to make, and if you have the paper and a die-cut thing, it takes no time at all. I also put tiny silk flowers in matching colors around the top corner of one or two. My friends loved them. My best friend keeps hers taped to her mirror.

Try 123Print. They brings you the market’s best and high quality card designs at affordable prices.

My dog Moojow

I swear the movie Marley and Me, was made for my dog. For the longest time we thought he was just the most un-trainable, and naughtiest dog ever. He is a lot better now, with lots of love, and patience. This movie really touched me because he did remind me so much of our dog. Did you see it? What did you think?

He loved it, licked the plate clean. It was an easy recipe, and if anyone wants it, I will send it to you.

Mobility Solutions With NMEDA

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Many of us love to travel and of course one of the people’s choice cars is the wheelchair accessible van because we can carry some of our handicaps family or even some who can’t walk. Wheelchair accessible vans provide mobility freedom.

For someone with a disability, simple every day tasks can become challenging without the independence a wheelchair accessible van can provide. If you are considering purchasing a wheelchair accessible van, you should take a few moments to sit down and make a list of your specific and general needs, both physical and financial. The next thing that you should do is begin researching dealers, making sure that you are visiting a trustworthy company that is knowledgeable, friendly, and timely and QAP certified.

NMEDA is a non-profit trade organization that aims to help consumers avail of safe, reliable and specially modified vehicles for better accessibility for people with special needs. Consumers are encouraged to buy from a NMEDA qualified dealer in order to benefit from on-site evaluation required to custom fit vehicles for special needs. This personalized approach is important because no two people with disability have exactly the same needs.

NMEDA has two different kinds of dealers - the regular Dealers and Quality Assurance Program (QAP) dealers. Both provide products and services, and QAP is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry that adheres to a systematic and documented approach to quality.

To get assistance from a qualified NMEDA dealer just visit nmeda.org. Hit the dealer’s locator, type in your Zip code and see qualified dealers near you. Please also let me know, by commenting below, whether or not you've been able to find a NMEDA-Qualified dealer, near you and how you're finding the service provided by this company.

Polymer Clay

I've used it before in my crafting, but right now I really enjoy making pendants and holiday decorations with it. For some reason, this time around, it's been very therapeutic working with polymer clay.

What do you make with poly clay? I'm looking for more ideas because I really enjoy working with it right now!

Brown Beach Glass Earrings

I've always loved walking on the beach checking out the shells that were left behind by the tides and one day I found a piece of beach glass. It was very smooth, rounded at the edges and had a strange frosting on it.

After finding my 1st piece, I was hooked and always look for pieces. Just recently, I took my crafting hobby to more of a part-time venture and have found there's a great demand for jewelry made with beach glass.

I haven't yet used one of my finds in my jewelry making, but I've found some very reliable beach glass sources and have made a few pieces of beach glass jewelry for my shop (some of the photos of these pieces have been added on this site)
Does anyone else work with beach glass in their crafts? Any collector's of beach glass?

Cobalt Blue Sea Glass Necklace

Yesterday, I responded to a thread in the craft section and one of the FUROM members mentioned that she used to enjoy making and selling crafts, until "life happened" and she got away from doing it.

I have a similar story, both about crafts and life happening...

I used to work at a boutique, where I decorated shirts and sweat shirts and sold them to the tourists. I also made beach-type jewelry that we sold in the boutique. Stuff happened and the owner was forced to give up the boutique and I was forced to find a "real" job. Shortly after, I had my first child and crafting was pushed to the backburner. Life Happened and my crafting, which I really loved to do, was the loser. There was no time for it any longer, as the need for a real 40 hour a week job and my newborn son commanded every moment of my day.

Fast forward about a decade and I found myself knitting scarves for family members as Xmas presents, found people I work with wanting to buy scarves from me and I "got the crafting bug" again.

Since my situation is somewhat different, both of our sons are a bit older and my hubby is very involved in their activities, I found I had the time and energy to go back to crafting and creating.

It's something I really love doing, and while I do sell my creations, it isn't hardly enough to pay all the bills, but it does pay some of them and I'm having a blast creating again. I'm so happy to have the chance to get back to what I loved doing so much!!So, who else had to put something on the backburner because "life happened" and how many have been able to persue their passion once their lives settled down??

Social Spark is a social networking site that allows bloggers to connect with advertisers. During my blog hopping, I’ve read a lot of positive reviews about it, and how bloggers easily made money from it.

I went to SocialSpark to sign up and found it to be very simple. I had searched through many similar sites, but SocialSpark is the only one I decided to try at this time. With SocialSpark, I am impressed with what they had there. The Help link included their Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics among others. This just proves that they truly value their business.

My experiences so far with Social Spark have been great. Right away I was brought to a page showing me my current opportunities. That’s where I found this one! It was asking me to blog about my time so far with their site.

SocialSpark pays you to write quality reviews for products or services and sometimes they will actually send you the product to try so you can give a full review. This service always has “nofollow” links to advertiser sites and has some of the best opp payouts compared to other services. SocialSpark pays out 30 days after the sponsored post is published, so even if the post took 2 weeks to be approved you would be paid 30 days from the date the post was published. You can track all your sponsored opps by going into your My Taken Sponsored Opps in your Blogger Dashboard.

The minimum amount for payout at Social Spark is $50, and so far, I have made $5!

Cobalt Blue Sea Glass Bracelet

I've been selling handmade jewelry online for a little over a year now. I'm not about to quit my day job, but the money I make helps to pay the bills and is quite helpful now, since my hours have been cut at my full-time job.

Running a small online store is a lot harder than I imagined when I started... I thought I'd put my jewelry in and the people would just buy it...lol... between promoting my store and my items, answering emails, shopping around for the best quality supplies, at the cheapest prices, packaging, shipping, and finally more creating new jewelry, it's been pretty hard.

Has anyone else started their own online business where they are selling actual product? Share your experiences!!

Cobalt Blue Sea Glass Bracelet

5 wonderfully frosted pieces of cobalt blue sea glass adorn this bracelet. The sea glass is accented with mother of pearl polished shell beads. The sea glass used for this piece are all authentic pieces of sea glass and the only alteration to these ocean gems are the holes drilled to make the bracelet (and a warm water/mild dish soap bath after they were plucked from the surf) A beautiful bracelet...perfect for the sea glass enthusiast or anyone who loves the beach & the ocean!

Cat in a pot

Cat in a pot

I am continuing the story of the stray kitties brought to our shrubs by the stray momma cat. They are actually starting to get used to us, even mom who has been a stray for a very long time. I am hoping within the next week, we will be able to get them to the shelter for adoption. I am hoping to get mother cat there too, but I do not think she will safely go. I am allergic to cats so her biting or scratching me is not an option, plus I do not know what she might have. I just read in the paper today that our town has canceled its contract with the county animal shelter, so I am unsure if they will even take them. Other counties have said no. I want them to go where they will be loved, and taken care of.

Anyway they kind of stay up on the porch now, and the little boy loves my cucumber pots. Here is a pic of him sleeping in it. I try to encourage them to stay out of it, but I don't want them to think I am being mean and destroy the bond we have built. They let my kids hold them, and pet them, not mom though.
