Along with sister companies TracFone and Net10, Straight Talk is a prepaid wireless service that offers a $45-per-month unlimited talk, text and Web plan, as well as a smaller 1,000-minute, 1,000-text and 30-megabyte data plan for $30.

I was static when I came across Straight Talk, my husband and I moved from a contract to Straight Talk for $45.00 unlimited plan.  We now only pay $90.00 for cell phone usage per month and have placed an auto refill so that we do not have to do this monthly. We cannot believe the savings as we were paying approximately $125.00 each month per person. I cannot believe the value for money we get as Straight Talk uses Verizon and AT&T signal towers meaning we have uninterrupted calls.

Straight talk provides everything you need in a cell phone service making them the best option there is. They use trusted phone manufacturers like LG, Motorola, Kyocera, Nokia and Samsung. With a nationwide coverage, no contracts, and no credit checks, Straight Talk monthly plans truly give you value for your money. Now I can call a friend anytime I want and don’t have to worry with getting socked with a huge cell bill.

I love the idea of saving a ton of money and feeling richer by cutting my cell phone bill in half! If you also love that idea then you must try Straight Talk!  Take it from me because mom knows best!

Tracfone - simpler, cheaper, better

This post brought to you by TracFone. All opinions are 100% mine.

My husband just wasn't using his cell phone so we canceled his service. Then he found himself one day without a phone. It was unplugged (don't ask!). I decided to buy him the Tracfone which my uncle also has and likes. This is a pay as you talk phone and perfect for my husband. I think it is perfect for young children too who are not old enough to want to chat with their friends but want to call you for a ride or you want to find out when they will be done with soccer.

I bought the Tracfone at CVS for $10.00. I then bought a card which you will see in whatever store in which you go. The cards are for various amounts of time. I started out with a $20.00 card for 60 minutes. At the time my husband didn't quite understand and spent ½ hour on this phone!!

Yesterday I bought another card and got him another 60 minutes. It's great just for him to have so I can call him if he isn't in his room and vice versa.

Tracfone offers so many features!

  • There are no contracts. You will not have to sign anything with anyone.
  • You can find brand name phones from leading manufacturers like Motorola, Kyocera, LG, Nokia and Samsung. Choose from simple "Candy Bar" phones, to Bluetooth®-enabled "Smart" phones.
  • 1 year service cards give you so much more — receive double minutes for the life of your TracFone, and 800 minutes, for only $119.00.
  • You can text message but you will have to buy a card just for that purpose.
  • You'll have coverage around the country. The rate is the same wherever you are including overseas.
  • This is a small, lightweight phone weighing less than 3 ounces. My husband doesn't have to carry anything heavy or complex with him.
  • It has an alarm, hands free speaker and can handle 500 telephone numbers. The Tracfone has 20 ringtones, voicemail, call waiting and caller id. It also came with a battery charger.
  • The battery talk time is about 6 ½ hours and the standby time is about 2 weeks or so.
  • The Tracfone shows on the clear display how many minutes are left which comes in very handy.
  • My husband doesn't have to try to find it because he just would not be able to. My husband's phone is not a flip phone so he doesn't have to worry about breaking a nail.
  • His Tracfone is made by Motorola. There are other phones that are more expensive and do more but I wanted one as basic as one could be.

Many real TracFone customers rave about their monthly plans. Here is what some of their real TracFone customers thought:

Sand art in baby food jars

These kind of projects are a lot of fun to do with our children. One of the things that I've done with my kids is sand art in baby food jars. The sand is made from salt colored with sidewalk chalk and they are able to just layer the colors into the jar. It is a lot of fun and the resulting "craft" makes a great gift for different occasions. We used ours as paper weights for Daddy as a Father's Day gift, but you could really give them to anyone.

mystic topaz ring

I just had my 6th sale yesterday, yippee. I sold this lovely mystic topaz ring, I hope the buyer loves it as much as I do.

you can go to etsy and run a search on an item you want, from there click on the item that looks most like what you are aksing for, this will take you to the shop that is selling it...

you can also run a search for the seller, use a this as a search criteria and you need to have the name of the seller, or part of it, for example my shop name is Jelvehdesigns, if you say designs a million shops will come up, but if you ask for the full name or just Jelveh then my shop comes up...

there is also catagories on the side bar to the left that lead you to items and shops, or gift guides or showcases or one of my favorite if the feature called Pounce, where you get to see the most recently sold items or the undiscoverd items this is a random find...I POUNCE when I am just looking for color or other trends in sales...

you can buy by Color, a feature that lets you choose the colors you like and once you click on one, the items with the color in their photos come up, there are endless ways to find items on etsy...let me know if you have any questions...

Why there are parents who look at their children as merely investments?

I was disturbed recently when I heard my neighborhood nagging and says nasty things to her children. She is a mother with seven children, all of them already have their own family.

I heard her say to them, "You forget how i suffered just to raise you! You still have an obligation to follow and do what i tell you even if you already have your own family. I am still your mother and you owe me your entire life. You must give back what I did for you."

I feel sad about this, because I am a mother too, but I am not favorable with what she said.

I don't believe we raise children so that one day we will force them to pay what we did for them. Besides, it's not their choice that we became their parents. It's our responsibility as worthy care-takers to nourish those lives lent to us by our Creator. Why there are parents who look at their children as merely investments?

When my brother-in-law recommended "Straight Talk" I thought he was just talking about another prepaid phone but he wasn't. So I went out and bought one! I was truly impressed because I had tried Virgin Mobile and AT&T Phone and neither of them compared to Straight Talk.

This is a great prepaid phone for its price! There are no surprise bills or contract requirements. I love this phone and can use it anywhere and the signal is great. There are several up to date phones and accessories to choose from. You can even transfer an old phone number to your Straight Talk phone.

You won’t have second thoughts every time you have to call a friend. Straight Talk can give you everything you need in a phone service.
