My No nonsense tights and leggings!

It seems that leggings and tights are becoming the fashionable things to wear these days; I constantly wear opaque tights in the winter with skirts. I love them! When it's really cold, I wear the thicker sweater tights. I just love my tights - I have about 13 pairs, mostly black and gray, then out of the blue I was given the chance to try out some No nonsense tights and leggings! I was super excited! I received a pair of No nonsense leggings in black and a pair of textured fashion tights in black.  

I really liked the opacity and thickness of the tights. I also really liked the fact that there were no bands at the waist line or top of the thighs, which most tights have and sometimes end up peeking out from the bottom of my shorts if the tights start slipping down. These black ones held up and stayed in place the entire time I wore them and were comfy and breathable.

What I loved the most about these leggings is the way they feel.  They are so comfortable and super smooth. The great thing about wearing leggings are they are a quick, easy and comfy way to get dressed and still look cute and pulled together by simply throwing on an oversized cardigan, sweater or shirt. Quick, easy and comfy are all needed for moms on the go and running errands on the weekend. And what was even better is I found they come in many different colors. This allowed me to change up might outfits to stay in style.

Today I have another routine refreshing idea to share with you! 

The Revlon Expression Experiment! I was very lucky to take part in the Revlon Expression Experiment where I got the amazing kit filled with nail polish, lipstick, makeup primer, and eye shadow.

I have been happily testing out these products lately and I am excited to share my experience with you! 

I used the Color Stay eye shadow palette in "Inspired" to create summery smokey eyes! Surprisingly, after applying said eye shadow, I did not feel like I just walked out of a 80s salon and it was really quite subtle. The best part is that you can also use it as an under eye concealer to brighten up the eyes.

Next is the Revlon Longwear Nail Enamel which is supposed to last you for 11 days. While I can't say it stayed on for that long, but it did have a gel-like sorbet shine. I usually apply nail paint so that I don't bit on them, but this almost made me think otherwise, purely due to the richness of the color. The longwear concept works best when used in conjunction with the base and top coats.

My favorite part of this was taking Revlon’s red lipstick Challenge. My kit included a lipstick color that I would never choose for myself – Revlon’s Color burst Lip Butter in Cherry Tart.  I fell in love with it the first time I put it on.  Never would I guess that red on my lips would brighten my whole face.  I received so many compliments the first day from co-workers.  Some commented on the color, while others just asked if I had done something different that day.  It made me feel really good about my new look.

Using this kit was so much fun.

 

I love the quality of the products and how well they stayed on my skin during the entire day.

It is a great joy to see a writing project come to life and see your name on it. The satisfaction is tremendous. When something I have written does get published, the joy is indescribable.

It is important in any craft or art to do your best. I am painstaking about what I write. I want the completed work to be as good as possible. I want people to read what I write, but I must care about the writing itself. I must be true to the subject of the project, and write what I believe.

Make your own baby nursery letters

One of the fun things about having a baby is getting to decorate the nursery. The styles and themes are limitless, but it's nice to have personal touches to customize the room to make it special for your little one. A simple way to personalize your baby's room is by making ribbon letters to spell out your baby's name above the crib.

Ribbon letters can be made to any size or color you prefer. This project is very simple and you'll have your baby's name hanging on the wall in no time.

You'll need just a few materials to get started:
Chenille pipe cleaners
Light loft quilter's batting
Assorted ribbons by the spool
Scissors
Tacky glue

The chenille pipe cleaners are used to create an armature frame for the letter shapes. This gives you the flexibility to create the letters you want. Start out by twisting some pipe cleaners together until they become one. Take the twisted pipe cleaners and form the letters of your baby's name.

Cut strips of quilter's batting and begin wrapping each letter. Keep wrapping the batting around each letter until you reach the desired thickness. Glue the ends of the batting in place.

Next select your ribbon for each letter. Use one color or pattern or do all the letters differently. Satin ribbon gives a soft, delicate look or use grosgrain ribbon in primary colors to give a cheerful feel to the nursery. Begin wrapping ribbon around the letters in the same manner as the batting until you completely cover all the letters. Fold in the ends of the ribbon and glue in place.

The final step is to hang the letters. Cut a ribbon about 12 inches long for each letter. Fold in half and attach one ribbon to each letter at the top and knot securely.

Having a baby is a very special event, and you want your little one coming home to a one-of-a-kind bedroom. Special and meaningful decorations add so much to any room, and your baby's room is no exception to that rule. Having your baby's name made of ribbon will add a beautiful touch to the nursery wall and will make a wonderful keepsake in the years to come.

I've watched 5 movies last night because I wasn't having an internet connection. But at least I have seen the movies which I have been keeping for some months now

One of it is The Devil's Double. I think it wasn't shown in my country. I thought it was a horror flick and downloaded it since mom is a horror movie fanatic. So I watched it and found out it was actually based on a true story of Latif Yahia, an Iraqi soldier who was chosen by Uday Hussein, Saddam Hussein's oldest son, to be his double. The film shows how cruel and maniac Uday is. Well, I don't know much about Sadam Hussein and his family.

If this is true, I am really amazed to know that they really find people that looks like them to stand as their double. They're rich and powerful and you can never say to them. This is a must-watch film for me.

Now that the shopping frenzy over the holiday weekend is over, how did all the Etsy shop owners here on myLot fare? Let's here about how your shop did? Anyone with any sales? Did you even get any hearts or an increase in views?I'll start it off....

I added a couple of items heading into Thanksgiving. One sold the day before Turkey-Day. I had another item purchased on Black Friday and a 3rd item sold on Cyber Monday. I don't think I had a lot of views, despite doing a bit of promoting, but I did add several hearts on individual items and in my shop. Hopefully these hearts will turn into a future sale of two.

It seemed like there were an awful lot of shop owners promoting quite frequently throughout the entire weekend and the threads I promoted in, seemed to get buried to the second and third page within minutes and I was lucky to even receive a view in the threads I promoted in... the good thing about promoting was 2 of the 3 sales I made were made because of the promoting I did.

Things went much better over the holiday weekend, than the first yr... maybe I learned from my experience last yr.

Well ever since I became a christian. I've realized a lot of things. I realized that life today is not as important as life after death. Personally I do believe that there is an afterlife or life after death. I know the bible teach us not to give so much importance on he things we have today because when our life ends, we can't bring the things or wealth we gained here on earth. The irony of life is "the most important thing on earth was the least important thing in heaven, and the most valued in heaven was least valued in earth. If we value here the money or wealth in heaven it was of least value. How about in your own views and opinion, do you believe that there is afterlife?

How do you spend/utilize your leisure time?

Some people prefer to spend their time outdoors. Other people prefer to spend their leisure time indoors. Would you prefer to be outside or would you prefer to be inside for your leisure activities? Why is it so?

If I had to choose where to spend my leisure time, I would rather spend it outdoors, I spend all my working hours inside at desk either in class or here in the hostel. When I have some free time, I want to completely change my environment. Getting outdoors gives me a new perspective and helps clear my mind.

Being outdoors gives me the opportunity to try new things, see new sights and meet new people. Staying indoors means reading a book or watching televisions. Sometimes it involves visiting with friends. Those are all relatively inactive. Being outdoors means a chance to stretch our mental and physical muscles. We can go hiking in an area we have never been before. We can go swimming or rafting on the river. We can go on a nature walk with a friends and rangers and learn about flowers and trees. We can visit all the outdoor monuments in our city that We have never seen before. In each case, we are doing something that will help us to relax while also enjoying the excitement of something new.

Walgreens Prescription Savings Club!

I have Express Scripts drug coverage, and I trust Walgreens to look out for my family’s health when it comes to prescriptions. That is why I am so disappointed to hear that Express Scripts will no longer be allowing their customers to use Walgreens to fill their prescriptions! The cancelation of the contract ended at the end of 2011 due to that fact that Walgreens did not want to increase the rates and Express Script wanted to be able to define what constituted as a brand and generic drug, Express Script also wanted to lower the reimbursement rate to Walgreens.

Many Express Script prescription coverage holders are going to be affected by this change.  They will no longer be able to use Walgreens pharmacy if they expect their coverage to help with the costs.  Instead they will have to find other pharmacies that Express Script is working with, causing them the inconvenience of having to drive out of their way and forge new relationships with pharmacists that are not familiar with their situation.  I can only image the amount of frustration they must be feeling!
