Hi friends! I would like to let you all know about clipix!
It’s beautiful, it’s addictive, and it’s free. Clipix is an incredible tool that allows you to categorize, store and keep track of the information you want online. In short, it is your bookmark in the cloud. It doesn’t matter whether you browse using different computers. You just need the Clip button and you can start adding clips to your clipboards. The great thing about using Clipix is the privacy settings allow you to decide whether you want your boards seen by only yourself, or friends’ public. Clipix also has a social networking feel to it in that the system lets you comment, reclip and spread them to other social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.
They also have what they call syncboards. These allow users to clip collaboratively with family and friends. Think of it as some sort of real time collaboration wherein every time you clip something, they will see your clips right away. You can also download clipix into your Iphone and enjoy it every where you go. Another awesome feature of clipix is the Multiboards. You can group multiple clipboards by category to stay better organized.
My clipboard includes: Vacation Ideas, Upcoming Movies, Great photos, Books to Read, Dog Stuff, Sports Related Items, Places to visit, Gaming Tips, and a General board where I keep stuff I want to read later.
Check out this quick video on how to use the Clipix service.
Please check clipix.com, sign up today and start organizing your family life just like what I did. Please share your experience with clipix and let me know how you like it.
We could go on and on but once you start using it you’ll be as addicted as we are.
My 7 year old son, took this magnificent picture of one of the blooms, on our Magnolia tree. We actually have three of these lovely trees, in our yard, but this one is the largest, and produces the most flowers. He tried to capture the bee that loves the pollen, of this flower, but it flew away. I love the Magnolias.
I am learning to do cakes. Instead of candy this year, my kids wanted a bunny cake. It was supposed to have coconut on it, kids said no way. It was supposed to have jelly beans for the face, and twizzlers for whiskers, kids said no way. So I just used blue frosting for the face, he kind of looks like psycho bunny if you ask me, but my kids loved it.
If you've been thinking about selling your handmade craft creations and have come to realize that eBay isn't for you, but you think that Etsy might be worth looking into, take a look at 5pm (EST) tonight.
Go to the site, (you may need to sign up, but there's never a fee to be a member)click on the "community" link, then click on the Virtual Labs link and find the vitual room holding the Newbie Chat.
Many of the questions a person thinking about selling on Etsy/or new sellers may have will be answered with explanations tonight. Etsy holds a couple of these Newbie sessions each week and probably will share many links to helpful threads for people just starting or those thinking about starting a shop on Etsy.
Check it out if you have a chance!
Now that the shopping frenzy over the holiday weekend is over, how did all the Etsy shop owners here on myLot fare? Let's here about how your shop did? Anyone with any sales? Did you even get any hearts or an increase in views?I'll start it off....
I added a couple of items heading into Thanksgiving. One sold the day before Turkey-Day. I had another item purchased on Black Friday and a 3rd item sold on Cyber Monday. I don't think I had a lot of views, despite doing a bit of promoting, but I did add several hearts on individual items and in my shop. Hopefully these hearts will turn into a future sale of two.
It seemed like there were an awful lot of shop owners promoting quite frequently throughout the entire weekend and the threads I promoted in, seemed to get buried to the second and third page within minutes and I was lucky to even receive a view in the threads I promoted in... the good thing about promoting was 2 of the 3 sales I made were made because of the promoting I did.
Things went much better over the holiday weekend, than the first yr... maybe I learned from my experience last yr.
So let's here fromthe rest of the shop owners on Etsy... how did your shop fare over the holiday weekend?
