UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley --- Wonderful exhibits at any time of the year. Wonderful walk with unusual plants from around the world! felt like we were transported to gardens from around the world!
Entrance fee is reasonable for the quality of these gardens. My favorite time is when the rhodendrons and the camellias are blooming. The Old Rose Garden is marvelous in April. Don't miss the blooming cacti and the California exhibit.
This place makes you aware of the "micro climates" in California. temperatures are great all year round and the volunteers very helpful and knowledgeable. Locals enjoy it as well as out of towners. Nice gift shop and plant sale area. Would go there any day!
What a great way to take a break form the city.
